Night Market and Concert
The pilot event, Friday Night Market and Concert will take place on the night of July 12, 2024. Inspired by the concept of Asian night market, this brand new event features vendors selling small items, merchandise, baked goods, handmade items and jewelry. Check it out for affordable and family friendly items for sale!
The Friday night concert at Ashley pond is organized by Sancre Production for Los Alamos County, sponsored by ScienceFest. The concert will feature artist "Led Zepagain". Food trucks and a beer garden will be present during the concert.

What is the date and time of the Friday Night Market and Concert?

The pilot event, Friday Night Market and Concert, will take place on the night of July 12, 2024. Vendors are expected to set up between 4-5 pm and the event will run from 5-9pm. Vendors are not permitted to pack up or leave before the end of the event.

The concert will run from 6-9pm. The headliner, Led Zepagain, will start playing at 7 pm.

What inspired the Friday Night Market?

The Friday Night Market is inspired by the concept of Asian night markets, featuring a variety of vendors and affordable, family-friendly items. Young entrepreneurs, cottage vendors and farmers are invited to apply to vend at this event!

What types of vendors will be at the market?

The market will feature vendors selling small items, baked goods, handmade items, and jewelry. Due to various constraints, we cannot allow cooking using propane during the event but are happy to allow room temperature/refrigerated items.

Where is the concert taking place?

The concert will take place at Ashley Pond Park. The Night Market will be located on the opposite side of the park (Southside) and vendors' booths will be facing Central Ave.

Who is organizing the concert?

The concert is organized by Sancre Production for Los Alamos County and sponsored by Los Alamos ScienceFest and Los Alamos MainStreet. Los Alamos MainStreet and the Los Alamos Arts Council are organizing the Night Market.

Will there be food and beverages available at the event? Can I bring my food truck to the event?

Yes, there will be food trucks and a beer garden available during the concert at the parking lot of Ashley Pond Park. Due to that reason, we are not allowing food trucks at the Night Market. Is there a participation fee for the event?

Yes, it costs $100 to vend at the Night Market. A tent, table, and chairs are included in the cost and will be set up for you at your spot. Youth entrepreneurs and businesses that are just starting out may be eligible for a discount. Please contact Alison@losalamos.org to find out more.

Are children allowed at the event?

Yes, the event is family-friendly, with many vendors offering items suitable for all ages.

What kind of items can I sell?

Small items like merchandise, baked goods, handmade items, and jewelry are ideal for the Night Market. You can also sell self-care goods like soaps and lotions and services like henna or tarot card reading. We do not allow proselytizing, political booths, or goods that are not deemed family-friendly (drug related paraphernalia).

I am a food vendor. Are there any special instructions for me?

Is there parking available at the venue?
-
Yes, parking is available at the Justice Center lot, at the overflow lot at Fuller Lodge, and at the overflow lot at the Mesa Public Library. Please be aware that these spots fill up quickly due to the popularity of the concerts. Arrive early to secure a spot.

Parking will also be available after 6 pm at the Fuller Lodge Art Center and the overflow Lot located opposite the Art Center.

Will there be seating available for vendors at the Night Market?

There will be 2 chairs and 1 table assigned per booth, per vendor. If you require more seating, please indicate that when signing up for a spot.

Attendees that are not vending should feel free to bring a picnic blanket and/or camping chairs for seating.

Can I bring my own food and drinks to the event?

Yes, food and drinks are allowed at Ashley Pond Park during the event. Alcohol purchased at the beer garden must be consumed within the beer garden premises. Please follow all local rules and regulations regarding food and drinks in public places.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
